Ruben works in his practice as a licensed psychologist in several states with a background in vocational rehabilitation, religious leadership, theology, and spiritual direction. Ruben primarily works with people learning to understand, accept, and articulate their feelings and needs, embrace healthy vulnerability, and create intimacy and a sense of calm in their lives. He focuses in identity and spirituality concerns. He supports people as they explore and embody their whole selves more comfortably in life. He particularly enjoys working with medical, mental health, and religious professionals in psychotherapy. Ruben has specialized education and training to support people who are exploring and integrating current practices and past experiences of spirituality, beliefs, faith traditions, and value systems into their mental health treatment and to improve their quality of life and relationships. Ruben takes a non-shaming, self-acceptance approach to treatment with people. He says, “I enjoy working with people who are highly motivated to examine themselves and work to change whatever blocks their pathways to creating the lives they love.”

Melanie works in her practice as a licensed independent clinical social worker in several states with clinical specialties in supporting people around LGBTQ+ concerns and the challenges of living with HIV/AIDS. Melanie works frequently with people to manage depression and anxiety, and those exploring their identity as individuals, partners, and parents. She helps clients learn to accept themselves and manage stress so they can create balance and wholeness in their lives. She says, “I like to see people find their voices and experience happiness and freedom in their lives.”
