Dr. Hopwood draws from eclectic psychodynamic and relational approaches to help individuals move toward their goals and create more fulfilling lives. His work focuses on identity, self-awareness, self-acceptance, self-expression, and patterns in relationships and communication. He has experience supporting people across a wide range of gender, sexual, spiritual, and religious identities and experiences. Dr. Hopwood is also trained in integrating spiritual concerns and practices into therapy, and he has a particular interest in helping people explore spirituality, purpose, and meaning in their lives. In addition to his clinical degree and training, he holds a certificate in Spiritual Direction and Companioning.

Melanie approaches therapy through a relational, psychodynamic, and feminist lens, creating a space that is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in each client’s unique experience. She also has experience with brief treatment and mindfulness-based approaches and is certified in Narrative Therapy, allowing her to tailor therapy to each person’s needs and goals. Melanie offers specialized support for LGBTQ+ individuals and is especially passionate about helping people deepen self-understanding, build confidence, and express themselves more fully in their lives.
