consultation history and approach
I work with mental health and medical professionals, businesses, and researchers who are committed to positive growth, increased understanding, and well-being in their own lives and in the lives of those they serve and care for. Through my work I support health professionals to be more competent, sensitive, and responsive in caring for trans, nonbinary, and gender diverse people.
My experience as a leader in the effort to develop and expand gender-affirming care models within the U.S. includes educational seminars and workshops, consultations, and training for several thousand medical and mental health professionals across the country. I managed the Fenway Health Trans Health Program from 2007-2019 where I was instrumental in the growth of the program from 115 patients to over 5,200 and in the movement of the organization from marginal competency in gender affirming care to being a world leader in gender affirming primary health care.
I can help you and your group to become more competent in gender diversity care and sensitivity.
